The Grand Parkway Segment G
The Grand Parkway Segment G is a proposed 13.6-mile,four-lane,controlled access toll road with intermittent frontage roads from IH 45(N) (North Freeway) to US 59(N) (Eastex Freeway) through Harris and Montgomery Counties. This segment will run from Hwy 59 to I-45 and will impact the Rayford Rd Area. The portion in our area will follow along Riley Fuzzel Rd from Creekside Village, Benders Landing, Lockeridge Farms, Fox Run, and Spring Trails crossing the Hardy Toll Road as it heads to I-45. There are several proposed routes all based on environmental impact studies. The following map is from The Grand Parkway Association website:

Currently segment G is scheduled to open for traffic in 2014. Will this be good for the area are not? Increased noise and traffic will impact the neighborhoods that it passes next to. One benefit is we will finally have a quick way to get to Hwy 59 as well as FM 1314 which will give us another route north to Conroe. Traffic slowdowns will impact us for years once construction starts. The following Grand Parkway schedule is from the Grand Parkway website. I have highlighted section G.
